Notes about William Harris

Not married to Jane Moss. I think Jane Moss is the person listed as "James" Moss 19 female doing housework in the William Harris family in 1860. She is listed at the bottom of the family listing like she is a servant in the household. My husband's DNA matches' trees point to this particular Harris family as being the father of Andrew Moss. Andrew Moss is my husband's great grandfather. I am putting William Harris in as the father in order to see if ThruLines picks up DNA matches to this person. I started by looking through my husband's DNA match list for matches in the third or fourth cousin range that had trees with branches that I did not recognize. I found some that had trees with Sterling Harris in them. From his age I thought that Sterling Harris was probably the grandfather. I then looked at William Harris. Jane Moss was living in the William Harris household in the 1860 census. By the 1870 census, Jane Moss is back in her mother's household with two children.
