I do not know for sure if Lemuel Loftis and Elizabeth Hinds are the parents of William Lemuel Loftis. I am testing a theory. Use this information with caution.

Parlitha Gallion Loftis' final estate settlement dated 29 Nov 1889 lists the following heirs:

Elizabeth Haney deceased (her portion paid to her three bodily heirs)

Logan Haney

No mention of son William Loftis (born about 1848). It looks as if he is deceased with no heirs. So I do not think that this William Loftis is the William Lemuel Loftis (1854-1929) who married Clarinda Belle Pryor. To me it seems as if William Lemuel Loftis (1854-1929) is not the son of Thomas J Loftis and Parlitha Gallion Loftis.
