John Clarke II married Alice Tatesham in about 1445, in Wrotham.gentry for the county of Berks, returned into the exchequer 12th Henry VI (1433). He was Baron of the Exchequer from October 10, 1468, to 1479. He lived in the manor of Forde (known as Forde Hall, named after the ford which crossed the brook that ran close to the hall to Leybourne and then Medway. Forde Hall lay about a mile and a half eastward from Wrotham Church, near Addington Common, about 20 miles southeast of the center of London. or. Small sums to god sons, Sister Beatrice, the High Altar of Adyngton (Addington), church of Troptiseleve, brothers of Ailesford, the Rochester Cathedral, and the Wrotham Church. He gave his jewels and utensils of the house to wife Alice and remainder to son John. He further gave land in Middleton and Wade to Alice and then John. John received shares of land in Wrotham, Stansted, Trottisclif, Addington, Reyersshe, and Gulding. Alice received shares of land in the manor called Fawnes. All other lands to Alice and then to John.ham, Kent, England.
