Floris I of Holland (also called Florent I)born (1017 in Vlaardingen, Zuid Holland, Netherlands - June 28, 1061 in Gelderland, Netherlands) was Count of Holland (which was called Frisia at that time) from 1049 to 1061. He was a son of Dirk III and Othelindis of Nordmark.

He succeeded his brother Dirk IV who was murdered in 1049. He was involved in a war of a few Lotharingian vassals against the imperial authority.

Floris I volgde op 13 jan 1049 zijn broer Dirk IV als graaf van Holland op nadat deze te Dordrecht was gesneuveld. Hij huwde omstreeks 1050 Geertruid van Saksen uit het Huis Billung. Uit dit huwelijk werden drie kinderen geboren, Dirk, die als Dirk V zijn vader opvolgde, Floris en Bertha, die later huwde met Koning Filips I van Frankrijk. Floris I ontleende zijn gezag rechtstreeks aan dat van de Duitse Keizer. Hij zou een vechtlustig en roemrijk man geweest zijn en trachtte zijn macht verder naar het oosten uit te breiden. Na een gewonnen strijd bij Hemert (nu Nederhemert) in de Bommelerwaard tegen Ecbert I van Friesland werd hij op 28-06-1061 vermoord door de Graaf van Kuik, een handlanger van bisschop Willem van Utrecht en die geassisteerd werd door enkele helpers. Naar overlevering op het moment dat hij vermoeid door de strijd onder een boom lag te rusten. Deze moord werd waarschijnlijk op aandringen van de Bisschop van Utrecht gepleegd. Door J.M. van Hemert werd in 1749 in het werk 'Korte levensbeschrijving der Hollandsche Graven' zijn dood als volgt weergegeven: 'De zegepralende veldheer, te stout op het bevogte voordeel, en door de hitte van de dag afgeslooft, had zig te Hemert, onder ene aangename en verkwikkelijke belommeringe van het geboomte, tot de rust geschikt; en de vermoeide krijgsknegten, ook niets anders verlangende, hadden zich rondom dat beminde legerhoofd op den grond nedergelegd. De een zowel als de ander, door de betoverende en onwederstaanbare kragt van de slaap overwonnen, die ongevoelig de afgematte leden bekropen had, wierden door den Grave van Kuik verrast en merendeels verslagen. Op die wijze verdween Floris, die niet anders dan in den slaap kon overwonnen worden; en die door de reizende zon als overwinnaar begroet was, kreeg met de nederdalende de onderlaag, en ontruimde dus voor altoos den Aardbodem'. Hij was meer dan 2 meter lang.

Er war der Sohn des Grafen Dietrich III. von Holland und der Othelendis von Haldensleben, Tochter von Markgraf Bernhard I. von der Nordmark.

Florenz I. oder Floris I., wie er in Holland hieß, wurde um 1020 geboren. Er übernahm die Regierung ab 1049 von seinem verstorbenen Bruder Dietrich IV. Er unterwarf sich Kaiser Heinrich III. und konnte somit sein Erbe behaupten. Er setzte die traditionell gewordenen Fehden fort. Am 18. Juni 1061 wurde er von Markgraf Ekbert I. von Braunschweig-Meißen aus Rivalität um Friesland ermordet.

Er heiratete 1050 Gertrud Billung von Sachsen (* um 1035; † 4. August 1113), Tochter des Herzogs Bernhard II.. Mit ihr hatte er folgende Kinder:
