LifeSketch: JOHN TRIPP was born about 1640, in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, to John Tripp (1610-1678) and Mary Payne (1611-1687.) He married Susanna Anthony on 7 September 1665 at Portsmouth.is will on 7 Sept 1716 in Portsmouth, RI and proved on 14 10 mo. (December) 1719. His eldest son John was the executor and was given all housing and land at Portsmouth which John owned. His was to pay his mother £4 yearly for life and pay his brother Lot £5. To his son Benjamin he left a Bible and to his son Othniel the biggest pewter basin at his mother's death. To his son Lot the biggest pewter platter on the same condition.
