Thomas was among 33 inhabitants of Westerly who took the oath of fidelity to His Majesty King Charles II and the Colony of RI at a court held at Westerly by Governor (Major) John Cranston, 1692. A free inhabitant of Westerly owning Lot 37, on 10/25/1692. The agreement made this day by the heirs of Robert Burdick for the partition of the latter's property in two instances names Thomas first in order of Robert' s children. Thomas appears to have already received his share of land and received a third of his father's clothing, two oxen and a hog . 'The 19th day of the third month (May) 1694 the Church met and brake bread, and Thomas Burdick and his wife Martha Burdick and Joseph Clarke, Jr., were proposed for membership and were baptized the following day'. (Records of Newport Sabbatarian Church). On 8 August 1781, Thomas and Martha deeded land in Westerly to Samuel Lewis. (Westerly Deeds, V. 2, page 6) . They were witnesses to a deed, dated 20 April 1698, from John Randall to Thomas Reynolds. (Wes. Deeds, Vol. 3, p. 65) On 19, 20, and 21 September 1702, a general meeting of the Sabbatarian Church was held at their home. (Newport Church records) On 15 November 1703, Thomas and Benjamin Burdick, were appointed by the Newport Church "to desire Bro. Halls to attend said meeting". On 14 March 1705/6, Peter Crandall deeded a half acre of land to Thomas Burdick and others for the Sabbatarian Church of Westerly. On 17 September 1708, Thomas and Martha Burdick was one of the original members of the Westerly Church, and their names appear on the rolls of 1712 and 1718, but his is not on the roll of 1750, and Martha's is not on the roll of 1740. On 28 June 1710, Thomas signed a quit claim to land in Westerly which had been given to his brother, Benjamin, by his parents on March 12, 1691/2. (Westerly Rec., V. 2, p. 46) On 26 May 1687, "at a town meeting held in Haversham voted that Edward Larkin, John Maxson, Peter Crandall, John Lewis, James Babcock, Senior, and Thomas Burdick are appointed to go to Capt. James Pendleton, seeing he did persist in fencing the towns privileges and particular mens properties, notwithstanding he had been forewarned from time to time, whether he have order from his Excellency for his soe proceedeig as he doth, and likewise to show it, and if he refused to give an authority, to forewarn him for any further proceding as he did, if not the town would take another course." On 2 October 1711, he and four of his brothers were among the 33 purchasers of 5300 acres of vacant Indian Land in Narragansett which was ordered sold by the General Assembly of Rhode Island. On 16 May 1717, Thomas Burdick, Martha Burdick, Martha Burdick, second, and other members of the Westerly Church signed a letter commending Bro. William Davis to other churches. On 3 April 1718, he and Martha sold land in Westerly to John Hill. On 9 August 1718, he bought land from Edward Denison and moved to Stonington. On 17 August 1722, he deeded land in Stonington to his son, Robert. On 22 January 1721/2, he and Thomas, Junior of Stonington deeded land to Oliver Babcock. The land was bordered by that of Hubbard Burdick and is probably near Potter Hill. On 31 March 1725 and 16 June 1727, he and Martha deeded land to their son, Thomas, Junior. On 16 June 1728, they gave land to their son Samuel Hubbard Burdick. On 30 September 1730, he, Samuel Beebe, and Thomas Rhodes reported to the brethern of the Wsterly Sabbatarian Church the arbitration of a dispute between John Maxson and Thomas Hiscox as to the bounds of their lands. On 6 July 1732 in tonington, Robert, Thomas, Junior, and Samuel Hubbard Burdick filed an agreement concerning lands of their late father. No record of a will or inventory of his estate was ever found.
