Yes these jibe with my memory. I'm surprised at how much later Gramma died after Grampa. Being that Grampa died at the house (and I found him), I clearly remember that but I had thought Gramma died only a couple of years after him. She had gone "senile" (I guess this was before Alzheimer's was identified as a disease?) even before Grampa died and would shreak and cower from Mom and I went we tried to visit - she didn't recognize us. So Mom stopped making me go with her, maybe she just stopped too, I don't know (the oblivion of childhood concerns). Mom had deep seated issues with Gramma and did her best to shield me from them and her - especially in light of the feverish midnight bible readings and my obvious fear of her.
Neat stuff to have record of!
Thanks Uncie Glenn! I'm looking forward to what you dig up next!!!
Love,
