It is not known for sure how Elizabeth Nauman fits into the Nauman line. August 21, 1750 the ship Anderson from Germany landed in Philadelphia with 86 psngrs among them Hans and John Gottlieb Nauman. John Gottlieb settled in Pennsylvania and in 1774 or 1775 emigrated with his 2 sons Thomas and John Christian to Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. They are both listed in the Massanutten Shenandoah Valley census "Heads of Families" in 1785. John I and Elizabeth Friermond came to the Ohio country in 1804 and settled on Nettle Creek near where Millers Town is now. There was an Indian Village there, Miamai Tribe and they were friendly.
