    1. Egbert meegevoerd door de Duitsers toen zijn oom gezocht werd (in het huis van zijn oom, waar hij verbleef). [Bron: vdB-1913-01-11].
    2. Egbert werd meegevoerd vanuit Amersfoort, tegelijk met de Puttenaren naar Neuengamme, zie punt 3. [Bron: vdB-1937-05-08].
    3. Eind september 1944 werd een aanslag gepleegd op enkele Duitse militairen, waarbij een officier om het leven kwam. Uit wraak werden alle Puttense mannen, tussen de 18 en 50 jaar afgevoerd. Eerst naar Amersfoort, daarna naar het concentratiekamp Neuengamme. Van de 588 mannen die gingen, zouden er slechts 49 terugkeren. De Duitsers hadden ook besloten, dat het gehele dorp in brand gestoken moest worden. de bevolking kreeg vier uur de tijd het dorp te verlaten. Na de brand keerde de bevolking terug naar het dorp.
