Rika Geertruida vertrok naar Hasselt en Gezina verhuisde naar een andere wijk. Tot 1914 had het gezin ook een kostganger - Pieter van der Meulen die net als Hilbert werkzaam was bij het ROG, ook woonde Uilke van der Zee als kostganger bij Hilbert in huis. Hilbert heeft aangifte gedaan van het overlijden van Uilke in 1917.
in 1932 zijn Hilbert en Rensje verhuisd naar Amersfoort.
