Folkert was farmer at de Triemen below Westergeest and "bijzitter" (litterally sitting along) of Kollumerland. (co-judge), village judge and receiver of Westergeest

Based on his daughter's name we would assume he was a son of Uble Folckerts. The heirs of Folckert and Yck were owners of Stem 11 at Westergeest in 1640
