  • (Accomplishment) : Im Jahr 1806 starb der Vater Philipp in Graz und �berlie� dem Sohn Carl Anton, der 1779 in G�rz geboren wurde, sich der neuen Zeit zu stellen, die mit dem Auftreten Napoleons begann und Angriffe auf die Feudalprivilegien und das Eigentum der alten europ�ischen Adelsh�user mit sich brachte. Die Herrschaft Langenstein war bereits auf das Eigentum des K�nigs von W�rttemberg, des Verb�ndeten Napoleons, �bergegangen. Die unstabile Lage infolge der napoleonischen Kriege und die daraus entstandenen Ver�nderungen der Gesetzeslage in zahlreichen Staaten Europas - vor allem was das Adelsrecht betraf - bewogen Carl, die Herrschaft Langenstein ganz abzutreten, 1826 verkauften sie die Welsperger endg�ltig an den Gro�herzog Ludwig von Baden. Die angedeuteten Neuerungen griffen auch im �sterreichischen Staat, der 1823 mit kaiserlichem Dekret dem Adel die dynastischen Rechte nahm. Es folgte 1848 die Grundentlastung, die der Aristokratie endg�ltig die ihr verbliebenen Feudalprivilegien nahm. Als letztes wurde mit einem Gesetz des Jahres 1850 die Leibeigenschaft abgeschafft. In der Zwischenzeit vereinigte sich im Jahr 1840 die Familie Welsperg mit dem Ableben von Johann von Welsperg-Prim�r, ... zu einem einzigen Zweig: die Rechte �ber Prim�r und das Priorat San Martino di Castrozza gingen demnach auf Carl Anton und seine Linie �ber. Carl Anton, der 1873 in Puchersdorf bei Wien starb und in Taisten begraben wurde, hatte eine Schwester, Adelheid, die ich hier erw�hne, da von ihr Georg Siegmund Graf Thun-Hohenstein-Welsperg, der derzeitige Eigent�mer der Liegenschaften der Familie Welsperg in Primiero, abstammt..
