Notes about Toon Evertsz Bakker

Toon is de zoon van Evert Hendriksz Bakker, wiens vissersboot in de eerste wereldoorlog door de duitsers is getorpedeerd. Daardoor heeft zijn vader een erepenning van de duitse keizer teruggestuurd naar Duitsland. Echter, werd deze niet in ontvangst genomen maar teruggezonden. Zie ook aantekeningen bij zijn vader, Evert Hendriksz. Bakker.

 

Zijn schip, de IJM 274, werd door een Duitse onderzeeboot tot zinken gebracht, waarbij de bemanning het leven verloor.

De redder van de "Urania" bij Norderney

 

Op zijn schip door de Duitsers neergeschoten, later in het ziekenhuis van den Helder overleden.
