Notes about Auke Eeltjes van der Zee

Auke van der Zee (1854-1939) opvolger op het bedrijf van zijn vader. Aantekeningen over de periode 1901- 1939. De werf te Joure werd beroemd vanwege de houten schepen die hier werden gebouwd: tjalken, palingaken, boeiers en Friese jachten. Het Statenjacht "Friso" is hiervan de bekendste. In de 20ste eeuw werden ook één of meer motorschepen gebouwd. Voorts hield men zich bezig met onderhoudswerkzaamheden. De originele werfboeken zijn op één uitzondering na eigendom van de Ottema-Kingma Stichting te Leeuwarden en zijn in 1994 in bewaring gegeven aan het Rijksarchief in Friesland.
