Op de grafsteen van Charlotte Ort overleden in 1940 te Middelburg, begraven te Driewegen, staat geschreven : "Vader , Uw wil geschiedde" enz..Na de begrafenis zijn de beide ouders van Charlotte jr met hun zoontje G3 , die was toen 4 jaar oud, een paar dagen komen logeren bij zijn jongste broer Johan Willem Ort en schoonzus Dee Ort-Schuitenvoerder in Den Helder. De oorlog brak uit op 10 mei 1940.
    Oorzaak: Hersenvliesontsteking ( meningitis)
