Notes about Johan Georg (Jörge) Ort

Johan Georg was kleermaker en kocht het huis van kleermaker David Meyer in 1697. Het stamhuis der Familie Ort is het laatste huis direct aan de stadsmuur gebouwd aan de in 1824 afgebroken Wiuldunger Tor. Later is het huis eigendom geworden van de 3e zoon Zacharias Ort, die het huis naliet aan zijn weduwe Anna Barbara Rist. Van 1788-1800 is het huis in handen gekomen van het derde kind van Zacharias Ort en Barbara Rist, zoon Heinrich Wilhelm Ort, die stierf 10/05/1800. Later is het stamhuis in handen gekomen van Moritz Weber een schoenmaker. Het huis is wat gewijzigd maar het staat nog steeds anno 2001..
