Jans Aartsen huwde met Henk Berg, kleermaker van beroep, die later gescheiden zijn. Ze hadden samen 1 zoon, die gehuwd in Middelburg woonde.

Joop Aartsen is heel lang vrijgezel geweest en werkte in een koffiebar, op late leeftijd is hij nog getrouwd en kreeg een zoon Jopie.
