Notes about Gerrit Coelingh

Gerrit was actief in het verzet tijdens de tweede wereldoorlog. Hij hielp een groep franse soldaten. Die werd echter verraden door een nederlands meisje met een duitse vriend. De duitsers omsingelden de franse groep, maar die was goed bewapend en schoot zich met machine geweren door de omsingeling. Ongeveer 20 verzetsmensen werden gevangen genomen en werden de nacht daarop doodgeschoten, er was een overlevende, Tamme Leistra, die in de hand was geschoten en ontvluchten kon.
