Hij kocht in 1722 van Job van Dort een cromstevenschuit voor fl 192,10,-. hij zelf betaalde f 50,-,-Cornelia Ros betaalde fl 71,5,- en het restant f 71,5,- (71 gld 5 stuivers en 0 penningen) moest over een jaar betaald worden. Hij erfde in ca 1738 de visschuit van zijn vader.(bron Kees Touw)

Hij was ook bakenmeester en bij zijn overlijden dient Janneke Ros een rekest in om het bakenmeesterschap aan haar en haar kinderen te geven. Inderdaad wordt de zoon Daniel de nieuwe bakenmeester. (bron Kees Touw)
