      - Ned. - Op 6 oktober 1927 verhuisde de familie Riepen - Wassen naar Asterdorp in het Noorden van Amsterdam. Asterdorp gebouwd in 1926. Een dorp die ommuurd was en z.g. a-sociale gezinnen woonruimte bood. Het doel van de gemeente Amsterdam was om deze gezinnen te heropvoeden zodat zij na 1 à 2 jaar terug konden keren naar een "normale woning" om weer zelfstandig en heropgevoed te kunnen wonen. Het leven in Asterdorp gebeurde onder strenge regels en toezicht. Op 11 mei 1932 kregen de straten in Asterdorp bij Raadsbesluit van de Gemeente Amsterdam een naam. De woning waar de familie Riepen in heeft gewoond werd ver na hun verhuizing omgedoopt tot Blauwe Distelweg. In 1942 werd Asterdorp door de Duitse bezetters gebruikt om Joden te herbergen die na een kort verblijf gedeporteerd werden naar de concentratiekampen. Asterdorp is nu compleet afgebroken en bestaat niet meer. Aster village built in 1926. A village which was walled and give so called a-social families living space. The goal of the city of Amsterdam was to re-educate these families so that they could return back after 1 or 2 years to a "normal home" to live independently and re-educated. Life in Aster village happened under strict rules and supervision. On 11 May 1932 the streets in Aster village got at Council decision of the city of Amsterdam a name. The house where the family Riepen lived in was renamed, well after their moved, in Blauw Distelweg. In 1942, Aster village was by the German occupiers used to accommodate Jews who were deported after a short stay to the concentration camps.
