Later lietr hij landgoed Arenzano welke later watervliet werd genoemd te Vogelenzang Haarlem 

en nog heel veel huizen liet hij bouwen. Volgens mijn vader had hij zelf tijdens zijn jeugd in 27 huizen gewoond.

Hij kocht op 5 april 1935 veel grond 41 are + 30+ + 1 ha voor het bedrag van 16.000 guldens.  En bouwde daar het natuurzwembad met Hotel - Velserent.

op de kruisstraat 30/32 zat hotel de Leeuwerik alwaar opa en familie ook tijdelijk gewoond hebben. zijn dochter Astrid is op dit adres overleden in jan 1941
