Notes about Sjoerd Hiddeszoon de VRIES


Korenmolenaar te Sexbierum; hij huurt deze molen, vanaf 30-9-1663 tot zijn dood in 1667, van Sophie Anne van Pipenpoy voor 160 car.gld. per jaar.
Na belijdenis op 30-1-1648 wordt hij lidmaat te Sexbierum.
HAR 207-293 d.d. 2-1-1667: Sjoerd tekende op 1-5-1663 een schuldbekentenis van 150 goudguldens aan zijn broer Tjerk, waarop later 50 goudguldens waren afbetaald.
Hij hertrouwt in 1664 met Jits Rotgers, de schoonmoeder van zijn zoon Hidde. Als hij in 1667 is overleden, vraagt de oudste zoon Hidde op 29-1-1668 voogdij aan voor de wezenkinderen (BAR 64-32v). Nog in leven zijnde kinderen: Hidde Sjoerds 22jaar, Claes Sjoerds 20 jaar, tegenwoordig"barbarie", Jacob Sjoerds 11 jaar, Mary Sjoerds in't 13e jaar en Gaetske Sjoerds in't 7e jaar. Curatoren: Eelcke Annes, Pietersbierum, zwager en aangetrouwde neef en Jan Jacobs, oom.
