    Little Chute Pioneer Dies
    Mrs. Cornelia Van Denheuval of Little Chute, age 68, who died Friday was buried Monday from St. Johns church. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Theo Knegtel. Mrs. Van Denheuval came across the ocean from Holland when that early pioneer priest of Wisconsin, Father T. J. Van Denrock, brought with him the three sail ship people all this section. They landed here in June, 1848, at the foot of the Ca Calin Rapids, and were hauled by ox team by John C. Diedrich then a young man, to their destination. Geo Van Denheuval, her husband died about six years ago. There are surviving her children: William, Jacob, Anton, Cornelius and George Van Denheuval. Mrs. Nicolas Dericks, Mrs. Albert Vanasten and Mrs. Joseph Van Camp, who are all residents of Little Chute and the town of Kaukauna except Mrs. Van Camp of Freedom. Mrs. Vandenheuval was aunt to Mrs. C. H. L. Hamer of this city, and Mrs. John Lamers of Little Chute. The funeral was largely attended and was at the church of which she had been a member over fifty years at 9 o'clock in the morning.
