Jacobus LANGEVELD Ons is nie seker wie sy ouers was nie, heel moontlik was hy die seun van Pieter Pietersz en Cornelia Jacobs. Hy was gebore c1722. Hy het "n suster Maria Langeveld gehad wat met Adolph Jonker getroud was.

Jacobus Langeveld trou in Kaapstad op 29 November 1744 met Barendina VAN GRAAN van de Kaap. Barendina was gedoop 10 June 1725. Sy was die dogter van Otto Ernst van GRAAN en Rebekka van de KAAP (haar ouers was slawe Moses van Macasser en Sara van Macasser,)

Langeveld trou die tweede keer met Helena Rebekka SCHOTT van de Kaap in Kaapstad op 19 Oktober 1755,haar ouers was Robert Schot van Bengale en Lena van de Kaap. Robert Schott word ook genoem as "van Batavia" en was blykbaar "n ryk vryswarte. In Augustus 1731 het Anna Maria Brits weduwee van Germanus Gerrits van Oldenburg, haar slaaf Carel van Batavia verkoop omdat die ryk vryeswarte Robert Schott van Batavia, nie sy lening wat hy met haar oorlede man gehad het, geeer het nie. Koornhoop aan die Liesbeek rivier het behoort aan Robert Schott van Bengale, en hy het ook "n groente tuin in Kaapstad gehad, Schottsche Kloof.
