Dingsdagh 23 November 1677

Mede gelet sijnde op het ernstigh versoeck van den crankbesoeker Gerrit Victor om sich in vrijdom te moogen erneeren en toegestaan werden het tappen van coele wijnen als staande desselffs huijs (sijnde dat van den overleden Borgerraet Wouter Mostaert) daar toe seer wel ter neringh in de vacante tappersplaats, Soo is hem sijn voors. versoeck geaccordeert, doch alles niet langer als ’t aanstaande jaar.

b2 Jacobus, trou met Magdalena WENDELS van Amsterdam. (Jacobus het 'n kind gehad met 'n slaaf met die naam van Christiaan Victor)

Hy het 'n taphuis gehad en die volgende dranke verkoop:

Mom, Franse, Rynse en Spaanse wyn - 1679

Bier - 1678, 1685, 1686

Kaapse wyn - 1684

Alle drank - 1679, 1683

Brandewyn - 1684

Hy dien die kerk as 'n diaken 1679-1680, 1686-1687.

Hy word ook gemeld as 'n bakker aan die Kaap van 1680-1681.

In 1681 het die Kompanjie vir hulle eie amptenare gebak. Gerrit Victor wat 'n vrybakker was, het toe as krankebesoeker aangemeld en na Ceylon gegaan, hy het later weer na die Kaap terug gekeer.

Hy dien as officier 1687. As 'n lid van die Huwelikshof 1681-1682 en as Weesmeester 1678-1679, 1691-1692.

Hy was aangekla op 15 Oktober 1685 omdat hy hout gekap het in verbode gebied.

Johannes Pretorius het getrou met Johanna Victor, Johanna was heelmoontlik 'n suster of 'n familie lid van Gerrit Victor.

Later was daar 'n Christiaan Victor van de Kaap en hy het in 1723 die Politieke Raad gevra om hom vry te stel van slaweny. Hy was die slawe kind van Jacobus Victor en 'n slavin.
