De Sieswerda's van Sieswerd
Tussen 1703 en 1708 wordt Jentje Edgers (de stamvader van de Sieswerda's) de gebruiker van een boerderij op Klein Oorns onder Hichtum (boerderij nr. 1). Uit het floreenkohier blijkt dat Pijtter Hanses in 1700 nog de gebruiker van deze boerderij is.De boerderij is 30 pondemaat groot en is in eigendom van de Hoog ed Heer van Aylva Grietman van Wonseradeel die op het slot Wibranda state woont.

Jentje Edgers is geboren in 1676 te Nijland, hij woonde in 1703 in Burgwerd waar hij trouwde met Geertje Jans, zij was weduwe en kwam uit Nijland. Waarschijnlijk zijn ze toen op de boerderij op Klein Oorns onder Hichtum gekomen.
De oudste zoon Bauke Jentjes is op 8 mei 1705 gedoopt in de Hervormde gemeente Burgwerd/Hichtum/Hartwerd. Wanneer Geertje Jans is overleden is niet duidelijk maar Jentje Edgers hertrouwde 24 november 1715 met Jeltje Sibbles uit Hichtum.
Uit dit huwelijk tussen Jentje en Jeltje komen nog twee kinderen voort. Edger Jentjes, geboren op 12 november 1718 in Hichtum. Durk Jentjes geboren op 22 april 1722 in Hichtum. Deze komt in 1746 op de ouderlijke boerderij. Vader Jentje Edgers is in1748 overleden.
Bauke Jentjes trouwt in 1732 met Tjitske Tjerks die faam bij Claaske Reiners in Burgwerd was. Uit het geboorte register blijkt dat zij na hun huwelijk al op Sieswerd woonden. De 9 kinderen, de eerste in 1733 zijn allemaal geboren op Sieswerd. Uit het floreenkohier blijkt dat Bauke Jentjes tussen 1738 en 1748 boer wordt op een boerderij op Sieswerd (boerderij nr 2) deze was 45,5 pondemaat groot en eigendom van de kerk. Hij heeft dan 5 koeien, 2 pinken en 4 paarden. Het is een gemengt bedrijf,28pondemaat van het land wordt belast voor bezaaide landen. In de Quotisatie kohieren van 1748 staat hij omschreven als; boer, gering in staat met een vermogen van 500 florijn.

In 1757 overlijd Bauke Jentjes. De weduwe van Bauke Jentjes, Tjitske Tjerks blijft de bewoner en gebruiker van de boerderij. In 1760 heeft ze 7 koeien, 1 pink, 3 paarden en 32 pondemaat bezaaide landen. In 1773 wordt Tjalling Baukes genoemd als "vrijgezel in dienst van zijn moeder". Tjalling Baukes trouwde 23 mei 1774 met Tietje Jans uit Burgwerd. In latere kohieren wordt alleen Bauke Jentjes weduwe genoemd
