De moeder van Doutje Jans Meijer wordt in de huwelijksakte als Geertje Johannes Dijkstra vermeld, zij overlijdt echter als Geertje Johannes de Vries in Bolsward op 5 maart 1846. Het is de enige keer dat de naam Dijkstra gebruikt wordt.

In de huwelijksbijlagen van Doutje is een extract uit het register doopsgezind geborenen Anjum enz. dat Doutje geboren is in Kimswerd op 15 juli 1792. Doutjes schoonmoeder overlijdt volgens Alle Friezen, 69 jaar oud en geboren in IJlst, in IJlst op 7 januari 1828, dochter van Hyltje Heerts Hiemstra en Rints Jans. Haar achternaam staat in de akte foutief als Heemstra. Jan Jacobs Keikes staat in de geboorteakte als Jan Wybes, geboren IJlst 10 juni 1820. Van de familie Meijer ben ik een afstammeling via mijn grootmoeder van moederszijde. Dankzij uw gegevens weet ik nu meer over de familie Keikes. Hartelijk dank.
