Die bei vorgenommener Landesdurchsuchung aufgegriffenen und in die hiesige Wacht gefänglich eingebrachten Arretierten wurden anheut vorgeführt und examiniert, die sich denn folgendermaßen vernehmen ließen: ...
Tertius, er heiße Philipp Carl Rang, wäre aus hiesigem Lande gebürtig und jetzt 20 Jahre alt. Er wäre fünf Wochen vor Ostern zu Laasphe, wohin er in das Wirtshaus mit seinem Fuhrwerk gekommen und futtern wollen, bei Werber von dem Löbl. Trumbachschen Corps gekommen, welche ihn betrunken gemacht, und da er berauscht gewesen, und nicht gewußt, was er getan, engagiert und nebst anderen recrouten nach Stockum transportiert; er wäre darauf gleich bedacht gewesen, daß er wieder loskommen möchte, weil ihn seine Eltern in der Haushaltung unmöglich entbehren könnten, hätte dahero einem Unteroffizier namens Hertzog 12 Rtlr., welche sein Vater ihm hingebracht, gegeben und das Versprechen erhalten, daß er ihm den Abschieddavor verschaffen und erbitten wolle. Da er aber gesehen, daß daraus nichts werden wollen, wäre er fort- und wieder hierher nach Haus gegangen. Er hätte übrigens noch nicht geschworen und keine Montierung erhalten."
