Bei den Hochzeiten 1707 und 1709 ist jedoch ausdrücklich angegeben, dass er Witwer war und die Todeseinträge der Frauen passen dazu. Außerdem ist sowohl beim Tode der ersten Frau als auch bei den beiden folgenden Hochzeiten vermerkt, dass er "Rat", also Mitglied des Magistrats, war.
Da die beiden ersten Ehen kinderlos waren und da Kinder damals als Altersvorsorge angesehen wurden, ist auch verständlich, dass der Mann im hohen Alter nochmals heiratete.
