Lawson, Ph.B., B.D., "History and Genealogy of the Descendants of Clement Corbin of Muddy River (Brookline) Mass. and Woodstock, Conn.", 1905, pp.133-134 #185 BENJAMIN ALBEE CORBIN (Timothy, Timothey, James, James, Clement)," of Webster, Mass., b. 1809, at Dudley; m. Louisa Brown, Dec. 9, 138, or Aug. 18, 1839. She was dau. of James Brown (b. 1781, d. March 8, 1865) and Sally Woodcock (b. 1783, d. Jan. 30, 1861. He was a manufacturer of shoes at Webster, where the firm of B. A. CORBIN & Son was widely known and respected for its uprightness and integrity. In his social life Mr. CORBIN was loved by all who knew him. He was a prominent and active member of the Methodist Church, and was very benevolent. He was a firm believer in the principles of the Republican party, and represented the town in legislature of 1867. He was a director of the National Bank of Oxford. He d. Oct. 15, 1880, aged 72. His wife d. Feb. 6, 1887."
