"PELEG CORBIN (Samuel, James, Clement), b. September 7, 1749, at Woodstock; m. 1st Lavinia (or Levina) Lyon, Jan 14, 1773; she was b. August 7, 1750, Woodstock, the dau. of Nehemiah and Mehitable (Child) Lyon, granddau. of Ephraim and Priscilla (Harris) Child, and gr. granddau. of Benjamin and Grace (Morris) Child. She d. Nov 18, 1788. Peleg CORBIN m., 2d Rebecca Day of Oxford, May 26, 1789.

He was a soldier in the Revolution, serving in the Lexington Alarm for four days, and elsewhere. He was prominent in the organization of the town of Thompson, where he was an office-holder, school teacher, and member of the turnpike company. He moved from Thompson to Woodstock about 1814. He made a 'Will' May 6, 1811, which was filed April 2, 1816. The births of all the children are recorded in Woodstock Town Records."
