OBITUARY: Aberdeen Daily News, Aberdeen, South Dakota, Monday, September 24, 1962

Harriet Beeney, 65, of 414 S. Jay St., died Sunday evening at St. Luke’s Hospital. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Gates Funeral Home.

Miss Beeney was born April 15, 1897, at rural Lily, where she grew to womanhood. She graduated from NSTC in Aberdeen, and also from the Mankato, Minn. Business College. She taught school at various places in Minnesota, California and South Dakota. She moved to Aberdeen in 1951. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. George (Louise) Husher, Bradley; and one brother, Alpheus Beeney, Farmington, Minn.
