Obituary Milan Independent, Thursday, May 21, 1903: "Jessie Goben, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Goben, died at the home of her parents in Sears, on Tuesday morning at 7:30 A.M. Death was due to a complication of diseases. Jessie was 17 months of age and was a bright and loving child. Her death is a sad blow to her parents, and the sympathy of the entire community goes out to them in this, their sad affliction."
