Naar alle waarschijnlijkheid werden de kinderen geboren in Suriname op een van de plantages in bezit van Johann Friedrich ("Frederik") Knöffel, te weten Pl.Frederiksdorp en Pl.Johan & Margaretha. De latere naam van beide dochters geeft wellicht een indikatie.

Pas op: een naamgenote A D Knöffel [*... -^Amsterdam ±1798- [] Amsterdam, St. Anthonis Kerkhof 27 ii 1810] ev. Johan Kuzel / Kussell [betrokken bij Plantage Belgard in Suriname]

Noot: opzettelijk heb ik deze twee naamgenotes niet samengevoegd [zoals elders wel is geschied]. De reden is het feit dat voor elk van de naamgenotes een aparte overlijdens/begraafdatum bestaat. Zolang dit niet is uitgezocht houd ik de twee gescheiden, al wijzen geboortedatum en plaats op identiteit. De naamgenote werd begraven als "wed.Kuzel".
Dank aan Pinasroots-lid Dionne [pers.comm. 23 viii 2024] die bevestigde dat er inderdaad twee naamgenotes waren, met de aangegeven overlijdensdata.
