Carina Bottema (10-7-2017): "In een folio (nr. 2727, een soort eigendomspapier) van ene Alexander August Flu, staat Simica vermeld, zij werd gekocht van een andere plantage of 'eigenaar' waarvan ik de naam niet geheel kan ontcijferen. Er lijkt te staan Deuzebeen, maar van de laatste 4 letters ben ik niet zeker. Dan staat er dat 'uit' Simica [...] Ferdinand David werd geboren op 17 mei 1942. Zij zijn beide op 24 July 1844 vrijgeworden en resp. genaamd: Alexandrina Flu en Ferdinand David Flu. [...] Er staat overigens nog een dame op deze folio, genaa md Johanna. Zij werd gekocht van Beuj(n) á Cohen (de n betekend dat de naam is afgekort. Zij is tevens op 24 july 1844 vrijgeworden en vervolgens genaamd Johanna Helena Flu."
