Notes about Johann Gerdes Eesken

Nachkommen nennen sich Schepers. Johan wird von 1662 bis 1673 auf der Plaatze 20 geführt. 1673 wird er als Maurer bezeichnet. Eiskenjohan genannt. Johan Gerdes war der Stammvater der Familien Schepers in Papenburg. War er evtl. als Schäfer tätig und erhielt so den Namen Scheper? Diese Familie muß auch zu dieser Zeit noch teilweise Eickens Eesken genannt worden sein, denn im Sterberegister ist unter dem Datum vom 07.02.1680 "Johanß Eickens Eheweib" eingetragen. Es handelte sich dabei mit einiger Sicherheit um die Frau von Johan Gerdes. "Johan Gerdes" verpflichtete sich gem. Protokoll vom 20.08.1675 mit den 33 anderen in Papenburg ansässigen Siedlern, für den Unterhalt eines eigenen Pastors jährlich einen Reichstaler zu bezahlen.
