Notes about Bernhardinus "Berndinus" Blankenberg

Nach dem ältesten Eisleber Berghandelsbuche (Mück I Beil. N. 58) war schon im Jahre 1511 eine "Wasserkunst" zur Entwässerung bei Alsdorf im Betrieb. Sie gehörte den Brüdern Barthel und Bernhard Blankenberg (gest. l540 bzw. 12.4.1531), die, weil sie gemeinsam handelten, auch "die Blankenberger" genannt wurden. Die Genannten besaßen außer ihrer "Kunst" ein Hüttenwerk zwischen Hergisdorf und Alsdorf, sowie eine Anzahl Schächte, die vermutlich in der Nähe der "Kunst" im Bergrevier des großen Knittelsberges lagen. In der Beschwerde der Ahlsdorfer Hüttenmeister Peckmann und Pucher über Bernhard Blankenberg, Wolfsberg u.a. im vorbezeichneten Handelsbuche heißt es, dass diese an ihrer Wasserkunst bei Alsdorf "eingesunken" (d.h. einen Schacht geschlagen) aus ihren Schächten in den Wasserstollen gefahren und, wiewohl sie dadurch ihre Schächte getrocknet, sich doch geweigert hätten Wassergeld zu geben.
