Obwohl beide Brautleute nicht in St. Sebald gewohnt haben, wurde die Trauung hier vollzogen. Der Pfarrer von St. Jobst schrieb als Bemerkung in seine Eheregister: "copuliert in Nürnberg bey S. Sebald, aus was ursachen solches geschehen, würde hieher zu schreiben, gar zu lang werden, wer es wissen will, der frage die leute, die um selbige Zeit haben gelebet." Im Kirchenbuch von St. Sebald ist nur angemerkt, dass die beiden "auf befehl des Hrn. Kirchen Pflegers nach der Frühmeß copuliert worden (sind)". Offensichtlich gab es eine Unregelmäßigkeit.
