    Jan van Tright jr. was koopman en fabrikant in verfwaren te Deventer. Hij trouwde in 1809 met Alida de Roller (Zutphen 1762 - Wilp 1844). Vanaf 1836 bestaat er tussen Jan en één van zijn zonen, Jan Gerrit van Trigt (Deventer 1809 - Deventer 1852), een Contract van Vennootschap. In 1845 wordt dit vennootschap omgezet in de Firma Van Tright en Zoon te Deventer (Nederlandsche Staats-Courant, 7 januarij 1845, p. 4).
