    Heden achtentwintig Augustus negentien honderd zeven zijn voor mij, Ambtenaar van den burgerlijken stand van Rotterdam, verschenen ten einde een huwelijk aan te gaan:Jan Frederik Swemmer, oud tweentwintig jaren, machinist, geboren teZwolle,wonende alhier, meerderjarige zoon van Cornelis Swemmer oud negenveertig jaren, vuurstoker en Pieternella Westerop oud tweeenveertig jaren, zonder beroep, beiden wonende alhier, en Henrica Geertruida Josephina van Gent,oud eenentwintig jaren,zonder beroep geboren te Veghel, wonende alhier, meerderjarige dochter van Jacobus Wilhelmus van Gent en Maria van Asperen, oud zestig jaren, beiden zonder beroep wonende alhier. De ouders van den bruidegom en de moeder van de bruid, alhiertegenwoordig verklaarden tot dit huwelijk hunnen toestemming te geven terwijl volgens een geneeskundige verklaring de vader van de bruid wegens krankzinnigheid niet in staat is zijnen wil te verklaren. De beide afkondigingen van dit huwelijk zijnalhier onverhinderd geschied op achttien en vijfentwintig Augustus dezes jaars. Ik heb den aanstaanden echtgenooten afgevraagd of zij elkander nemen tot echtgenooten en getrouwelijk alle de plichten zullen vervullen, welke door de wet aan denhuwelijken staat verbonden zijn. Nadat deze vragen door hen bevestigend beantwoord werden, heb ik, in naam der wet, uitspraak gedaan, dat zij door het huwelijk aan elkander zijn verbonden. Als getuigen waren tegenwoordig: Eduard Gustav Maltha,oud vijfendertig jaren, adjunct commies ter secretarie, Gijsbert Vermeulen, oud achtenvijftig jaren, Anthony Eikenhout, oud vijftig jaren en Leendert Arnold, oud veertig jaren, stadssergeanten, allen wonende alhier.
