Wissekerke is een buurtschap bij 's-Heer Hendrikskinderen in de gemeente Goes in de provincie Zeeland. Tot 1816 was Wissekerke een aparte gemeente, die per 1 januari 1816 opging in 's-Heer Hendrikskinderen. Het gemeentewapen werd pas op 31 juli 1817 door de Hoge Raad van Adel bevestigd.

Gellis Braam en Elisabeth Rusters krijgen 2 dochters die zij Cornelia hebben genoemd, de eerste dochter Cornelia geboren 27-10-1795, de tweede dochter Cornelia geboren 26-2-1797. Er is geen overlijden van de eerste Cornelia te vinden. Het ligt voor de hand alle eventuele verdere gebeurtenissen toe te schrijven aan de tweede Cornelia.
Er is slechts één overlijdensakte van Cornelia Braam te vinden op 15-8-1826 waarop zij 30 jaar oud wordt vermeld, dit komt overeen met de eerste Cornelia, daarom vooralsnog de verdere gebeurtenissen (relatie met Johannes Lookman en 4 geboorten) toegeschreven aan de eerste dochter Cornelia, hoewel dat zeer waarschijnlijk historisch niet correct is.
