Zoals reeds beschreven bij zijn ouders (Marcus Levi en Elske Hayes) worden Haye en zijn broer Jacob op 8 februari 1747 opgenomen in het Nieuw Stads Weeshuis.
In de boeken van het weeshuis staat dat ze jaarlijks: hoosen, schoenen, hoed, bovenpak en een schootsvel kregen.

Op 16 april 1751 deed Haye belijdenis.
Ze behoren niet tot de recidiverende bewoners en op 12 mei 1755 is Haye 'met een gewone uitzetting uit huis gegaan'.
Broer Jacob volgde op 12 mei 1758. In 1766 vertrok Jacob naar Amsterdam.

Boenmakersgezel. Getrouwd op 1 juni 1755 met Trijntje Rutgers Rodenburg in de Westerkerk. Kinderen: Markus,1756 (#54) Rutger,1759 en Elske,1765.
In januari 1812 nam Haye Marcus de achternaam van Rodenburg aan.
Overleden op 8 mei 1817 te Leeuwarden.
