Na het overlijden van Cornelis wordt het erfdeel van de drie minderjarige kinderen van wijlen Cornelis Hendriksz Hameka en zijn weduwe Neeltje Gerrits Krotje ingeschreven in het staatboek van de weeskamer van de banne Westzaan. Het zijn Trijntje, 23 jaar, Gerrit, 22, en Houkje, 13. Voogden over de kinderen zijn Jacob Jansz de Boer, Dirk Hendriksz Hameka en Marten Mooij, woonachtig te Koog en Amsterdam. Het erfdeel beloopt 37 gld. 10 st. per kind. Trijntje en Gerrit krijgen hun geld op 25.11.1777 uitbetaald, en Houkje op 08.05.1787. Een Cornelis Potas is in de verpondingsboeken van de banne Westzaan te vinden: in de verponding over de periode 1792-1799 staat hij met het nr. 413 vermeld aan de Herengracht. Hij staat daar vermeld in de gehele voorgaande periode; het huis staat op de hoek van de Molenbuurt (=Westzijde) en de Herengracht. In de verponding 1763-1764 staat als nr. 488 burgemeester Dico voor 1763 en Cornelis Potas voor 1764. Daarmee is de transportakte snel te vinden: op 01.12.1763 draagt Jacobus Dico, regerend schepen van de banne Westzaan, wonende te Koog aan de Zaan, een huis en erf aan de Herengracht voor 750 gulden over aan Cornelis Potasch te Westzaandam.
