Notes about Ermesinde VAN NAMEN

NOTE: Ermesinde (1186 - 11 febr. 1247), gravin van Luxemburg van 1198 tot 1247,dochter van Hendrik IV de Blinde, graaf van Luxemburg, Namen, Durbuy en Laroche, en van Agnes van Gelre, werd geboren nadat haar vader reeds afstand had gedaan van Namen, Durbuy en Laroche ten voordele van zijn neef Boudewijn V van Henegouwen. In 1198 kocht zij haar rechten over Luxemburg terug van Otto van Bourgondië en bij het verdrag van Dinant(1199) kwam zij wederom in het bezit van Durbuy en Laroche. Door haar(tweede) huwelijk (1214) met Walram IV van Limburg (gest. 1226) verkreeg zij het markgraafschap Aarlen. Zij werd begraven in de door haar gestichte abdij Clairefontaine te Autelbas.
