Notes about Theunis DE JONG

In 1791 neemt hij de herberg de Holevoet over van zijn vader en het gaat hem goed want in 1809 koopt hij de naastgelegen boerderij erbij.Begin 1842 doet hij de zaak over aan zijn dochter Maria de Jong.Hij gaat dan met zijn vrouw rentenieren in Scherpenzeel en overlijdt in 1846.(bron:"Oud-Scherpenzeel"15e jaargang,nr.1)

overlijden: In 1846 wordt er een boedelinventaris opgemaakt van de bezittingen van Teunis de Jong.Hij bezit Oud en Nieuw Glashorst in Scherpenzeel en natuurlijk De Holevoet.Het wordt omschreven als "Het logement genaamd den Holevoet nr.200,inrijschuur,een bouwhuis met koeien- en paardenstalling en afzonderlijke stalling voor koppelpaarden,een open plaats met twee korenbergen,erf en tuin,met de gang aan de westzijde,vanaf de weg zuidwaarts tot aan het land van Jan Bakker,onder Woudenberg,sectie C 146,147,150, groot 32 roeden,30 ellen" Een poging om het te veilen mislukt.Er wordt f 7060,- geboden maar dat vindt men te weinig.Daarom wordt het toebedeeld aan zijn dochter Sophia voor f 7120,-.
