Alleen de latere historici Prosper Tyron en Dom Bouquet vermelden zijn regering.
In 420 zou hij zijn volk geleid hebben bij de oversteek van de Rijn naar het westen.
Pharamond werd opgevolgd door zijn zoon Clodio. Zijn vrouw was Argotta.
