Notes about Margaretha Gertrudis van Maris

Het Gaardersregister van Heemstede vermeldt op 25-2-1783 het voorgenomen huwelijk van Simon van der Hulst en Grietje van Maris. Zij trouwden pro Deo, zij hoefden dus geen impost op het trouwen te betalen.

Simon van der Hulst werd boer in De Zilk, onder Noordwijkerhout. Uit alles blijkt dat hij het als landbouwer wel "gemaakt" heeft. Ook zijn kinderen zullen "goede partijen" trouwen, zoals uit het vervolg zal blijken.

Het huwelijk tussen Simon en Grietje vond plaats te Heemstede op 15-5-1783. De bruidegom is dan 32 jaar, de bruid 20.


De kinderen werden in Vogelenzang gedoopt. De Zilk behoorde immers parochieel nog steeds bij Vogelenzang. In officiële stukken wordt haar voornaam vervangen door Margaretha en een enkele keer door Gertrudis.

Simon van der Hulst overlijdt te De Zilk op 8-5-1824, 73 jaar oud. Grietje van Maris zal slechts één week zijn weduwe zijn. Zij overlijdt namelijk op 15-5-1824. Zij was toen 61 jaar oud.


De overlijdensakte weet ook nog te melden dat zij 7 meerderjarige kinderen en één minderjarig kind nalaat.
