In 1730/1731 koopt hij de plaats 'den Oever',(een plaats met grachten, singels en stenen poort op de Dam) welke hij incluis 45 ha. land (met zijn 2e vrouw Hindrikje Hindriks) op 20 febr. 1753 verkoopt voor 3500 Carolus. guldens.
