Mrs. Joel Chumley dies at age of 88.

Mrs. Ida A. Chumley 88, widow of the late Joel Chumley, and in Hillsboro and Coffeen resident for many years, died at 9:45 P.M. Tuesday, October 18, 1966 at Hillsboro hospital.

The remains are at the new Patton Funeral home where the rosary will be recited at 8 P.M. tonight October 20. Services will be held Friday at 9 A.M. at the Agnes Catholic Church of which she was a member. The Rev. Michael McGovern, will officiate and burial will be made in Shiloh Cemetery near Coffeen.

Mrs. Chumley was a daughter of the late Christian and Elizabeth (Harnes) Fravala and was born March 8, 1878 at Cartinville. She lived in the Coffeen area until moving to Hillsboro in 1937.

In September 1903. she was united in marriage and he died in March 1961. Surviving are two sons, Lee Roy and Norman, both of Tabor Springs, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Myers of Hillsboro and Mrs. Mollie Brown of Donnellson. A son and a daughter died in infancy, and a sister and four brothers are deceased.
