This family is discussed in a tape of aninterview with Walter & Pearl Figert, Wabash Carnegie Library Oral History program, 18 Aug 1976. Simon Grisso was a carpenter, stonemason, and farmer. Page 58 of Lester Binnie's Cemetery Records of Paw Paw and Pleasant Townships,Wabash County, IN, lists Simon's gravestone as reading "Simon E. Grisso1860-1939". The yr of death is inconsistent with his death certificate. Wabash County Death Certificate Book 1925-1939, Page 142. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Census Info: 1900 census of Pleasant twp, Wabash Co., IN, District 127, page 4, lists family: Grisso, Simon (carpenter) b. Nov 1860, 39, Mary b. Apr 1866, 34, Pearl M. b. Apr 1887, 13; Mabel M. b. Sep 1889, 10; couple married 15 years, with 2 children both living, entire family born in IN, Simon's and Mary's parents born in OH.
